How to Book your Consultation via
At Blue Bird Aesthetics, all appointments are booked securely through GlowDay, our trusted medical‑grade booking platform.
This page explains how the process works so you can book with confidence and clarity.
Why does GlowDay require a card at registration
GlowDay asks you to enter a card when you create your account. This card is not used to take payment for your treatment. The card is held securely for one purpose only:
✔️ To apply our cancellation policy if needed
This works in place of taking deposits for every appointment.
How does payment work at my appointment?
You can pay using any method you prefer, including:
• Debit or credit card
• Amex (American Express)
• Cash
You are not required to pay with the card you registered on GlowDay.
Our Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change, and we always try to be flexible. However, late cancellations and no‑shows prevent other clients from booking. GlowDay automatically applies our policy:
✔️ 30% of the booked treatment cost …only if you cancel late (typically within 24 hours) or do not attend, and the slot cannot be rebooked.
This is the only reason your registered card is held.

Consultation Fees Explained
You may notice a consultation fee listed on GlowDay.

There is no charge for your consultation.
GlowDay requires a value to calculate the 30% cancellation fee if you do not attend — but the consultation itself is complimentary and integral to the process (see below)
Booking a Treatment vs. What Happens on the Day
GlowDay allows you to book a specific treatment, but:
✔️ All treatments are carried out only if clinically appropriate and safe
As a GP Aesthetician, Dr Amber Halliday will assess your skin, medical history, and suitability at your appointment.
If the treatment booked is not appropriate:
• It will not go ahead
• No charge will be applied
• An alternative option may be discussed if suitable
