Underarm Sweating Treatment in Worthing

What Is Underarm Sweating Treatment?

Excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis) can be frustrating and impact day‑to‑day confidence. Some people feel they sweat through clothes quickly, avoid certain colours or fabrics, or feel anxious in social situations. Treatment can help reduce sweat production and give you more control and comfort.

How Treatment Helps

By gently reducing the activity of the sweat glands in the underarms, treatment can significantly decrease sweating in the area. It doesn’t affect your body’s ability to regulate temperature — it simply reduces excessive activity in one specific area. There is no compensatory sweating elsewhere

Common Concerns

People often tell me they feel embarrassed by visible sweat patches or that they avoid certain clothes because of it. Others feel they constantly need to reapply deodorant. Treatment can help you feel more comfortable and confident day to day.

A Doctor‑Led, Safe Approach

During your consultation, I assess your symptoms, medical history and any previous treatments you’ve tried. All appointments take place in my calm, doctor‑led clinic space — a quiet, unhurried environment designed to help you feel at ease.

What to Expect During Treatment

A series of small injections are placed across the underarm area. Most people describe the sensation as quick and very manageable. You can return to normal activities straight away.

What to Expect After Treatment

Most people notice a reduction in sweating within a week, with full results at around two weeks. Results typically last 4–6 months, though this varies from person to person.

When This May Not Be Suitable

If your sweating is widespread (not just underarms) or linked to an underlying medical condition, this treatment may not be the most appropriate option. I will always discuss this openly and guide you towards the right support if needed.

FAQs

Will I sweat more elsewhere?
No — the body doesn’t “compensate” by increasing sweating in other areas.

Does it hurt?
Most people find the injections very tolerable and quick.

How long do results last?
Typically 4–6 months.

Please note: Some people refer to this concern as “hyperhidrosis”. In a non‑CQC setting, I focus on the cosmetic impact of excessive underarm sweating rather than diagnosing or treating a medical condition. If you are unsure whether your symptoms require medical assessment, I’m always happy to guide you.
