Sunekos Explained — Amino Acid Regeneration for Delicate Skin

Sunekos takes a different route to skin regeneration than polynucleotide treatments — not DNA fragments, but the amino acid building blocks your skin uses to make its own collagen and elastin.
What Is Sunekos?
Sunekos is an injectable treatment combining hyaluronic acid with a patented blend of amino acids. Rather than simply hydrating the skin, it’s designed to give the dermis the raw materials it needs to regenerate and strengthen itself. It’s particularly valued for delicate areas such as the under-eyes, where many other injectable treatments are too heavy.
There are two formulations: Sunekos 200, a lighter formulation suited to delicate areas including the under-eye, fine lines and crepey skin, and Sunekos 1200, a deeper-acting formulation that can be combined with Sunekos 200 for more established lines and laxity.
What It’s Used For
Sunekos is designed to improve skin quality and resilience, not to add volume or reshape features. It tends to suit fine lines, crepiness or tired-looking skin around the eyes, early loss of elasticity, and improving texture on the face, neck, décolletage or hands. It does not replace lost volume — if under-eye hollowing or structural change is the main concern, Dr Halliday will discuss whether a different approach, such as dermal filler or Profhilo Structura, is more appropriate.
What to Expect
Appointments run around 30 minutes, with numbing cream available for delicate areas. Small bumps or mild swelling at injection points are normal and typically resolve within 24–48 hours, with minimal downtime.
A course of three to four sessions, one to two weeks apart, is standard, with maintenance usually every 6–12 months. Some improvement in hydration may appear early, but the regenerative changes — smoother texture and better elasticity — develop gradually over the following weeks. Results typically last around 6 months depending on your skin, age and lifestyle.
